International Coffee Organization: Trade Statistics - May 2012
(drinks media wire) - World coffee exports amounted to 9.85 million bags in May 2012, compared with 9.38 million in May 2011. Exports in the first 8 months of coffee year 2011/12 (Oct/11 to May/12) have decreased by 2.3% to 70.64 million bags compared to 72.29 million bags in the same period in the last coffee year. In the twelve months ending May 2012, exports of Arabica totalled 64.16 million bags compared to 68.34 million bags last year; whereas Robusta exports amounted to 38.9 million bags compared to 36.42 million bags.
