The Food and Drink Federation (FDF) have launched a new workplace wellbeing report.
From Cadbury to Unilever, FDF members have long been committed to helping their employees to lead more active and healthier lifestyles. The ‘Workplace Wellbeing – Industry in Action’ report details how they have been developing workplace schemes that go way beyond the traditional health and safety agenda. These schemes include onsite information and advice on how to achieve a good work/life balance by eating well, taking exercise and managing stress, for example.
Julian Hunt, FDF’s Director of Communications, said:
“Our members have shown real leadership on this issue for many years. The launch of Workplace Wellbeing – Industry in Action is very timely reminder for policy makers of the importance of workplace schemes in improving the health of the nation.
“We hope the examples of best practice showcased in this new report will inspire other companies to focus on the importance of workplace wellbeing – as well as providing them with ideas on how to get started.”
