Hundreds of Restaurateurs to Gather in D.C. for National Restaurant Association's 2010 Public Affairs Conference
(Drinks Media Wire). Nearly 500 restaurateurs from across the country will convene in Washington D.C. this week for the National Restaurant Association's 24th annual Public Affairs Conference. Held April 14-16 at Washington’s Grand Hyatt Hotel, the conference gives restaurateurs the opportunity to interact with members of Congress and provide them with a better understanding of the integral role the restaurant industry plays in the economy – as the second largest private sector employer in the country - and the contributions that restaurants make to better their communities.
The conference agenda includes a dynamic lineup of prominent political experts, including current and former elected officials, political pundits, and industry leaders.

4:45 p.m. Faces of Diversity Awards Presentation
The Faces of Diversity Awards will recognize three restaurant entrepreneurs who have achieved the American Dream in the restaurant industry, and one company that has embraced diversity and inclusion in its business culture.

This event will bring together conference attendees, legislators, and some of D.C.'s top restaurant stars. A silent auction will raise funds from conference participants for the D.C. Central Kitchen.
