The companies have been shortlisted for the following categories: culture, media and sport; education; environment; local community and workplace community4. For the first time, an overall winner will be selected for the President’s Award by FDF President Ross Warburton MBE. All winners will be announced at a prestigious luncheon at the Institute of Directors, London, on Tuesday 19 October 2010.
Commenting on the judging of the Awards, FDF’s Director of Communications, Julian Hunt, said:
“The CPA Awards may already be in their eighth year, but the quality of entries we receive keeps getting better and better, demonstrating food and drink companies clear commitment to making a positive difference in their community. We received a record number of entries this year and the standard was exceptional. All of our judges were extremely impressed by the range of inspiring initiatives being carried out by companies to engage with their local communities, help to improve the health and wellbeing of their employees, make a difference to the environment, and encourage young people to learn about our industry and to keep fit and healthy.”
