With 1631 exhibitors in 2010, Vinisud attracted more than 32,000 visitors including 8875 international visitors from Northern Europe, North and South America and Asia, thereby confirming its role in international markets: to open up the Mediterranean to new markets for wine.
One year before it opens, everything is being put in place to raise buyer awareness worldwide and, in particular, to help future exhibitors to bridge the gap with the continent of Asia, especially China.
Major promotions, a PR campaign and the organisation of buyers’ delegations from countries including China, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam and Taiwan have already been planned out of Shanghai and Hong Kong by Adhesion Asia.
For its 10th anniversary, set for 20, 21 and 22 February 2012, Vinisud will bring together even more Mediterranean producers from the south of France (Languedoc, Roussillon, Provence, Rhone Valley, South-West and Corsica), from Spain (including Andalusia, Catalonia, Rioja, Valencia, Castile), from Italy (including Tuscany, Sicily, Piedmont, Venetia, Basilicata), from Portugal (Alentejo, Douro, Ribatejo), but also from Tunisia, Turkey, Morocco, Algeria, Malta etc.
