The Castel family has focused their skills on the production of French wine for more than half a century. From vineyard to bottle via harvesting, fermentation and maturing, Castel has a firm grip on quality every step of the way. Over the years, this family firm of nine brothers and sisters has become a by-word for French winemaking, and continues to share its winemaking expertise with as wide an audience as possible
The Famille Castel brand was introduced in 2006 to reflect the rich diversity of French wines. It comprises five ranges of flavoursome, affordable, easy-drinking wines, made for sharing with friends and family.
The five Famille Castel lines:
- Vin de France: “Cuvée de France“
- Vin de France Varietal
- Vin de Pays Varietal PGI “Réserve de France”
- Vin de Pays d’Oc PGI “Grande Réserve”
- PDO wine
Famille Castel wines are aimed towards a broad base of consumers in every country, in the 25-50 age group. The brand offers a good price/quality ratio, and a wine for every occasion
A fresh new look for Famille Castel
Famille Castel has introduced a brand new packaging:
- Elegant, new colour-coded logo: black and gold, to communicate quality and family values.
- New graphics on labels convey the character of each of the five lines with greater clarity, and strengthen recognition on the shelf.
- Colour coding identifies individual products within the ranges.
- The use of recognised international wine terms aids comprehension (dry, medium-sweet, grape variety, Réserve etc).
Aside from the new packaging, the Famille Castel image has been re-evaluated. It includes the strapline: “one family – one commitment” and a coat-of-arms to symbolise the skills and expertise of the Castel family over more than half a century. The coat-of-arms highlights the various stages of winemaking, and suggests convivial moments when the wines might be served.
The dynamic new image is backed by Famille Castel’s presence on Chinese and Dutch TV (sponsors of Life4you on RTL4 on Sunday nights in May, and TV billboards broadcast before the Sunday night film).
