Intercontinental Hotel Group Honors Francesco Lafranconi, Master Mixologist Of Southern Wine & Spirits Of America, Inc. For Contributions To The Ihg Bartenders Academy
Miami, FL, – (drinks media wire) - Brad Vassar, Executive Vice President, General Manager of Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc. (Southern), the nation’s largest wine and spirits distributor, today announced that Francesco Lafranconi, Southern’s Corporate Director of Mixology & Spirits Education, was honored recently by the InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) for his contributions to the IHG Bartenders Academy and for his support, enthusiasm and dedication with IHG Bartenders Academy programs.

According to Lafranconi, in his role at Southern he is frequently asked to consult with IHG—developing innovative beverage and restaurant concepts as well contributing to bartender and server training. In 2000, Lafranconi founded the Southern Wine & Spirits Academy of Spirits and Fine Service, a unique 12-week program and the only one in the U.S. to be recognized by the International Bartenders Association.
