Ambassador Cruise Line Drinks & Gratuities Price Increase

Due to the rising price hikes of everything, UK-based Ambassador Cruise Line has also decided to increase the rates for drinks packages and gratuities by 18%. The new rates will be implemented from September 1, 2023.
The cruise line said:
“With inflation at a record high, we have absorbed various cost increases and continue to seek further efficiencies. However, we need to implement an 18% increase on our drinks packages from September 1, 2023, to allow us to maintain our standards and quality services.”
“The situation is far from ideal, and we would like as many guests as possible to enjoy our no-fly, premium value proposition, and we will continue to offer excellent value for money and the warmest welcome at sea.
“To allow for greater savings and better experiences within our many different lounges and bars, we highly recommend booking one of our onboard drinks packages with your sailing, which includes service charges and gratuities before the prices increase.”
“There are considerable savings to be made by prebooking before the price increases “come into effect. For any new sailing bookings with a drinks package purchased before September 1, 2023, we will honor the current prices no matter when your sailing departs.”
“With just over three weeks to go, we encourage you to book early and add a drinks package to secure the best possible prices for your drinks and gratuities.
“As always, thank you for your continued support and understanding as we navigate this challenging period for all.”

However, the rates of Ambassador’sAmbassador’s drinks packages are different. They depend upon the number of nights that you are staying onboard.
The new prices will only apply on five or more sailing nights. If you sail for two to four nights, you can enjoy the perks of old rates.
In addition to its price hike, Ambassador Cruise Line has added a fifth package of drinks in addition to its price hike. Now, the Ambassador Adventure package is split into two packages—one for 0 to 11 years of children and the other for 12 to 17 old.
Non-alcoholic drinks in the Ambassador Experience Package will be served at new rates of £20.95 per night. The Ambassador Explorer Package, which includes alcoholic beverages from house brands, will cost £38.95 per night.

As far as the Ambassador Expedition Package goes, in which sailors enjoying premium alcoholic brands, coffees, and teas will be £44.95 per night. Whereas the kids’ Package under 12 will be £13, and that for 12-17-year-olds will be £16 per night.
The rates of drinks that will be purchased individually will also be increased. From September 1, a 10% raise will be applied to all the wine and bar menus, including all departments of sailings.
Separately paid gratuities will also increase from September 1, whether prebooked or not, before the new prices.
